Hey soon to be best friend!

Here are some commonly asked questions I get asked before booking a session.  Hopefully, they help answer any questions you might have!

Q: How long is a session?
A: That really depends. A session can last anywhere between 45 minutes to about an hour and half, sometimes more! For newborns and babies, it can sometimes last up to three hours. We have to take into account feedings, diaper changing, and temperament changes! Maternity, family, and sessions with older children are usually shorter, and typically go for about an hour. My ultimate goal is to tell the complete story of you and your family, and I always make sure that I have a good variety and amount of images to present to you.

Q: How many images will be in my gallery?
A: I do not have an exact number of images that I include in your final gallery.  The number of final, edited images is dependent upon location(s), any wardrobe changes, props, and breaks, etc. There is no set cap to the number of final images I will provide in your gallery. The images that I show you are the best and final images from your session.  Typically for portrait sessions, the final number can range between 30-45, somethings more, sometimes less.

Q: What is the session fee for?
A: The session fee covers my time, travel time within one hour of 19713, editing, and prepping your images to look their best!

Q: Can I purchase the rights to the photos?
A: As the creator of the images, the full copyright remains with me. With any digital image purchase, you will have the right to print and post the images at your pleasure. If you do not want any of your images shown on my website, portfolio, or social media accounts, you can opt out.

Q: When does the session fee have to be paid by?
A: The session fee needs to be paid in full in order to book and confirm your session, along with the signed contract. You will have 24 hours after the contract and invoice are sent to do so. Your session date will not be put on the calendar officially until the session fee is paid in full. For the Belly to Baby Collection, your initial session date will be scheduled with your complete payment. Additional session dates for those sessions can be scheduled at a later time..

Q: How long before my images are ready?
A: Your images are typically ready 14 business days days after your session. If you plan on scheduling a Photo Reveal Session, you can schedule that as soon as 14 days after your session.

Q: How long before I receive my order?
A: Once your order has been placed, you will receive your order within 14-21 business days. Digital purchases will be available to download to your computer immediately after purchase. Albums and custom items such as the Nostalgia Collection can take up to four weeks for delivery after design confirmation.

Q: When should I book a newborn or maternity session?

A: The best time to book your newborn session is at least 4-6 weeks prior to your due date, or even sooner if you like to plan early. Your newborn session should take place within 5-14 days after baby is born. For a maternity session, you should book at least 4 weeks before your desired session date.  Weekends are the most requested dates, and those book up fast, so I always suggest to get the ball rolling if you want to get on the calendar.

Q: Do I have to have a Photo Reveal Session?
A: The short answer is no. My goal as a photographer is to give you a complete experience from start to finish. I want you to walk away from this experience with beautiful images that you can display in your home, on your desk at work, and share with your friends and family. This is why I do Photo Reveal Sessions. It will be the first time that you will see your images displayed, and if you need help in deciding what looks good in your home, this is exactly what it is here for! You can even invite friends and family to view your images. Your order must be placed and paid in full at the time of your Photo Reveal Session. Payment plans are available for purchases $1000 or more. Please contact me for more details.
