About Marisa
Originally from Queens, New York, Marisa has been a Delaware resident since she graduated high school in 2004. There, she met her husband, had two amazing children named Charlotte Adventure & Maximilian Danger, and created a wide network of friends that she calls family. After suffering through a serious medical event when she was 20, her perspective on what she wanted to do in life changed, and thus she became a professional photographer. After 16 years in the business, she is still thriving and growing, beating many odds along the way. With a deep love of storytelling and a joy in the emotions her photography subjects convey, she can tell every person's story through her work.
Beyond photography, Marisa is an avid historical costumer & vintage fashion enthusiast, and loves to not only create fashions from different eras, as well as teaching about fashion and society from those eras. She attended an artist's residency in France in early 2025, and from that experience, she has breathed new life into her creative endeavors.
A woman of many talents, Marisa has also created pieces for art installations, enjoys calligraphy, embroidery, and combining her talents to create new works.
"“If you ask me what I came to do in this world, I, an artist, will answer you: I am here to live out loud.”"
