Originally from New York City, Marisa has called Delaware home since she was 18, which is where she met her husband Wesley, built lifelong friendships, and became a mom to two wonderfully named children: Charlotte Adventure and Maximilian Danger.

After a life-changing illness shifted her life & perspective, Marisa turned her passion for photography into a thriving career spanning more than 16 years. Her work is driven by a deep love for storytelling—capturing real moments, genuine emotions, and the unique beauty of every person and subject that she photographs.

Beyond the lens, Marisa is a historical costumer and budding fashion historian with a deep love for vintage fashion and handmade garments. She’s a creative spirit through and through—her home contains a whirlwind of crafts, color, and ever-evolving DIY projects. Whether she’s sewing a new gown, exploring medieval festivals like Pennsic, or simply enjoying a sunny picnic and hosting a themed tea party, Marisa brings joy, artistry, and a sense of wonder to everything she does.

With her bold locs, facial piercings, vibrant style, and boundless energy, Marisa believes life is all about learning, growing, and sharing love through art. Every photo she takes is personal, infused with heart and connection—because for her, photography isn’t just about taking pictures; it’s about celebrating the stories that make us who we are.

Marisa attended an artist's residency in France in early 2025. From that experience, she has breathed new life into her creative endeavors and is excited to continue creating art in all of its various forms.
