What A Year....

We brought in 2020 with a bang. Having a Gatsby themed New Years Eve party to ring in the new year was a success. We danced, we laughed, we had good food and drinks, and we all looked forward to the new year. I had a new plan for my business, in which I would finally listen to my doctors and slow down. I would focus more on elopements for weddings rather than all day weddings, and would space my bookings so I could be the best photographer to my clients and the best mom to my kids.

And then March rolled around, with me super excited to photograph my first wedding of the season in March, and within mere days everything shutting down due to the Covid-19 pandemic. I found my booked weddings and portrait sessions having to be rescheduled or postponed indefinitely, and I can't possibly imagine the level of stress and anxiety my clients were doing through because of this.

I also suffered a severe foot injury at the end of March which lead me to weeks of pain, and the ability to walk. As of now, I am on limited bedrest with a boot and have to walk with that and a walker, but I'm instructed to stay off of it as much as possible for another 2-4 weeks.

With business closed, many people out of work or working from home, schools closed, and so many more adjustments having to be made since this pandemic, it is stressful for everyone. It's okay to not feel okay. It's okay to not have a routine or be as productive as you thought you would be. We are all experiencing something that has never happened before, and we are going through it collectively.

Hang in there, we will get through this.
