Frequently Asked Questions

How long is a session with you?

That really depends. A session can last anywhere between 45 minutes to about an hour and half, sometimes more! For newborns and babies, it can sometimes last up to three hours. We have to take into account feedings, diaper changing, and temperament changes! Maternity, family, and sessions with older children are usually shorter, and typically go for about an hour. My ultimate goal is to tell the complete story of you and your family, and I always make sure that I have a good variety and amount of images to present to you.

How many images will be in my gallery?

I do not have an exact number of images that I include in your final gallery. The number of final, edited images is dependent upon location(s), any wardrobe changes, props, and breaks, and the best of the best images using my artistic judgement. The number of final images I will provide in your gallery will usually be between 30-40 images for portrait/engagement/and boudoir session.s These images are the final image selection for you to view. A newborn session will normally yield a minimum of at least 20 fully edited images.

Or, if you prefer, you can pay the total cost. The 50% session fee is non-refundable except under extenuating circumstances, and your date can be moved to another date based on availability.

When should I book my session?

The best time to book your newborn session is at least 2-3 months prior to your due date, or even sooner if you like to plan early. Your newborn session should take place within 5-14 days after baby is born. For a maternity session, you should book at least 4 weeks before your desired session date as the calendar fills up fast. Weekends are the most requested dates, and those book up incredibly fast, so I always suggest to get the ball rolling if you want to get on the calendar.

Portrait sessions such as family, children, maternity and more are best booked up until two weeks out up until your desired session date. Dates are based on my availability.
